We joined a team from Ban's Diving Resort, Working with Save Koh Tao on their Adopt a Reef program. Many Dive Schools from around Koh Tao participate in this important restoration project which also provides data to the world wide research that is going into coral reef health.

 

The Adopt a reef project by Save Koh Tao is designed to enable the long term restoration of the health of the reefs around Koh Tao. Divers from across the island attended a presentation by Chad Scott of the Save Koh Tao, Marine Branch, to learn about the important techniques and protocols for participating in the program.

Following this the local teams went of to activate there dive shop programmes. The Film Companies Pro Underwater Underwater Videographer Stephen Jones and photographer Rosie Allen went along to document the process. We will be following this project over the years to bring data and information about the progress of the coral health.
