This is a specialty course and mounting cylinders on you sides rather than you back as with normal scuba gear can give you a freedom and flexilbility not found in back mounted configurations. An important part of this course for underwater imagers is learning to manage gas by witching second stages if wearing two cylinders and responding correctly to potential problems.

For those that wish to train as an underwater videographer the minimum experience requirements are that you are an Emergency First Response and Rescue Diver with at least 50 logged dives, with all your own diving equipment. We highly reccommend if you wish to work as a freelance underwater videographer that you are a DIVEMASTER

It is also worth noting that if you are taking a gap year or considering further education then you may be able to gain college credit for  PADI scuba diving courses.
